PNB Housing Finance Limited reports a 27.8% rise in Q4 net profit and declares a dividend of Rs. 5 per equity share after 6 years

PNB Housing Finance Limited is one of the premier housing finance companies in India with operations that began in 1988. Promoted by Punjab National Bank, the company provides retail and corporate loans like home loans and construction finance.

PNB Housing Finance was notified under the SARFAESI Act in 2003 and by 2009, the company had crossed the Rs 1000 crore loan portfolio. In 2010, the company launched the Kshitij business process reengineering project.

In 2016, PNB Housing Finance raised Rs. 3000 crore from an initial public offer and the same year marked its Assets Under Management (AUM) crossing the Rs 25000 crore milestone.

The AUM further crossed the Rs 50000 crore mark in 2017 and the same year saw the company incorporating a subsidiary named PHFL Home Loans and Services. The AUM crossed the Rs 84722 crore mark in 2019 and 32 branches and 131 distribution outlets situated in 48 cities helped customers avail financial services uninterruptedly. Till 2021, the AUM has reached Rs 74469 crores and the company has 94 branches along with 111 distribution outlets. The company has further ventured into the Unnati and increased its branch count to 99 with 137 distribution outlets and opened 24 locations for Unnati by March 2022. Besides, the company borrowed Rs 30858 crores from financing sources like National Housing Bank refinance, Bank Term Loans, etc in the financial year 2019. PNB Housing Finance also became the first HFC to sign a funding of US 75 million via ECBs from JICA in 2020.
